Using a prompt aka Communication or lack thereof

Have a chord progression but no lyrics yet. Does that count as writing a song tonight? I vote, no.

Maybe I should use a writing prompt. I just found some from April 2012.
Write a communication poem. The communication could be dialogue between two (or more people); a postcard correspondence; a letter; a voicemail; a text message; a series of tweets; or whatever.

Here goes nothng...

Talking,
The lost art of communication.
Texting,
The new form of a phone call
Tweeting,
The new form of,
I’m not sure what,
Limited conversation,
Maybe.

It;s not that I’m old and not keeping
Up with the times
It’s just that it is so hard
To work out details
With my thumbs on my phone.
It takes so much longer to go back and forth
In short messages
Than if we just called each other
And talked for less than five minutes.

What is the problem that people have
With hearing a human being speak?
Everyone complains about
The automated message systems they encounter when calling a service center
But they avoid a human conversation
When it
S a friend or family?
That makes no sense to me.

With all that said,
It is time for me to document a conversation
Communication
Because that is my assignment
tonight.
So let the conversation begin.

Hello anyone, how was your day?
Good.
Okay, do you mean good as in GOOD
Or good as in okay?
    It was good.
Sigh. I had a good day. Managed to get up early enough for a run.
Had a good day at work
And I’m relaxing at home with a book.
    That sounds good.

I think good is an overused term that has become as meaningless as
Okay
All right
And Call me.
LOL!
